Position Summary:
As a Research Service Analyst, your responsibility is to provide extensive legal and business research across the Firm’s offices for attorneys, paralegals, internal departments and staff. At Bradley, you will handle requests covering a variety of topics, including legal, business, science, IP, public records, and legislative history. The Research Services Analyst is responsible for analyzing the research request, identifying the best sources of information, conducting the research, and reporting the results of research projects. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position Responsibilities
- Conducting both quick reference and in-depth, tailored research in a wide range of topical areas, including, but not limited to, legal, business/corporate, IP, public records, legislative history, and many others.
- Provides cost-effective and efficient research, compile research results, summarizes data, and communicates methodology and results clearly. - Prepares customized reports on clients and potential clients using business, financial, and news databases; analyzes and summarizes findings.
- Utilizes various tools and techniques for setting up current awareness and litigation alerts.
- Proactively balances workload by monitoring incoming requests, assessing time constraints and estimating research time needed.
- Assists with attorney and staff onboarding and orientation, as well as product and research training for attorneys and staff.
- Advises attorneys on research strategy and resource selection to ensure research is accurate and conducted in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Creates training guides, pathfinders and other user guides.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of the Research Services intranet page.
- Promotes the Department by maintaining a professional, service-orientated attitude and by keeping current on the needs and trends of the Firm.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Research Services Managers as needed.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Master of Library Science or Information Science from an ALA accredited library school, J.D., equivalent degree or experience preferred.
- High level expertise of legal and business databases such as Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, VitalLaw, Capital IQ, Hoovers as well as other major subject specific resources.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and document management systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Location
This position can sit in our Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Dallas or Nashville offices and offers a hybrid work schedule, two days remote and three days in the office. Office hours are 8:30 – 5:30 Central.
