Job description: Of Counsel or Senior Supervising Associate Attorney
Busy medical malpractice litigation team seeks an Of Counsel or Senior Supervising Associate Attorney to assist with cases involving hospital and physician defense litigation. Candidates should have 8 or more years of litigation experience, not necessarily in medical malpractice defense, and must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, with exceptional legal research, writing, and editing skills. Some assistance in other areas of the law may be required such as commercial litigation and personal injury. Experience in appellate and trial support is preferred but not required. Salary is dependent upon experience and whether you prefer a part-time or full-time position.
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, strong case management and supervisory skills, excellent communication and oral advocacy skills, and exceptional legal writing, research and editing skills. We have a friendly but fast-paced atmosphere and are looking for a team player with a great attitude.

Responsibilities:
Draft and edit legal documents and correspondence with precision, ensuring adherence to legal standards. Supervise and advise the work of junior associates, including their discovery drafts, legal briefing, and legal research.
Take and defend depositions.
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, providing updates on case progress.
Make court appearances at hearings and trial, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
