Multistate civil litigation firm seeks associate attorney with 2-4 years of commercial litigation and trial experience for its Texas satellite office. This office concentrates on defense of counterclaims arising out of debt collection actions for a Fortune 100 company, as well as commercial collections and judgment enforcement. The candidate must be located in Dallas and admitted in Texas. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work with highly experienced attorneys on legal matters for high profile clients, with partnership growth opportunities available.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Attend Court appearances, including motions and trials
-Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
Skills:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to Texas Bar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
