- Review Manager
Description
The Review Manager role at Level Legal is built for operators, not delegators. You set the strategy at project outset, design the workflow, drive the efficiency plan, own the budget as your own commitment, and act decisively on what isn't working. You give direction without waiting for it. You expect performance from your team. If you treat budget adherence as a craft, problem-solving as a reflex, and transparency as non-negotiable, keep reading.
At Level Legal, we give a damn. We get it done right. We show respect. We deliver delight.
What the role is
- Run document review projects end to end: planning, setup, staffing, training, security, delivery. Hands-on, not hands-off.
- Set the review strategy and efficiency plan at the outset of every project — workflow design, batching, QC protocol, TAR/analytics and AI deployment, staffing model.
- Own the project budget. Know it line by line, manage it, and report variance the same day it appears.
- Use RelativityOne — advanced searches, analytics, metrics, aiR, AI-driven review — to move the work, not as a checkbox.
- Validate time entry and utilization throughout the day, every day.
- Be the strategic voice with the client. Anticipate issues, bring solutions, and never let the client find the problem first.
- Train teams on substantive legal issues and on how we work.
- Coach in real time. Hold the team accountable. Replace those who aren’t performing — same day.
- Deliver daily reports that are concise, accurate, and useful.
- Partner with the customer experience team on growth opportunities.
What we're looking for
- Sharp judgment. You can defend a workflow choice on the merits, and you can change your mind when someone else's idea is better.
- You are open to new ways of working, and you solicit and encourage ideas from the people around you.
- Curiosity about better ways to do the work. You don't have a fixed playbook; you have a fixed standard.
- Technical fluency in RelativityOne is the floor, not the ceiling. aiR, analytics, AI-driven review — you know what to deploy and when.
- An excellence reflex. "Good enough" never is.
- Problem-solver by default.
- Decisive. You make the call when you know it’s right.
- You think in outcomes, efficiency, and what you've delivered. Not billable hours.
- Clear, plain communication — written and verbal.
- Calm under pressure.
Minimum requirements
- Juris Doctor.
- Active U.S. bar license, in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction), and all licenses maintained are clear and in good standing.
- 2+ years managing complex document review projects as a Review Manager.
- 5+ years of document review experience as an attorney.
- Hands-on RelativityOne expertise: advanced searches, analytics, metrics reporting, aiR, AI-driven review tools. Advanced Relativity certifications a plus.
Location and reporting
- Remote. Must reside in the U.S.
- Reports to the Vice President of Client Services.
