- Senior Litigation Paralegal

Summary Description: The Senior Litigation Paralegal takes a lead role in providing all legal processes including depositions, trial preparation and trial execution. This position is expected to meet or exceed a billable hour model. This role will be focused on Mass Tort.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Lead the team in researching, drafting, and revising of discovery, motions, judgments and dismissals
2. Attend and assist in trials and witness lists
3. Responsible for providing case evaluations, as well as provide an assessment of the case’s settlement value according to prior settlement history, for negotiation purposes
4. Prepares, executes and downloads court filings including electronic filings, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and state filings, and court pleadings
5. Manage compliance deadlines through docketing administration
6. Draft client correspondence for attorneys
7. Lead the team in conducting legal research and compiling materials in order to prepare for depositions, hearings and trials
8. May prepare discovery production, schedule depositions, and check case citations
9. May obtain records and work with experts in all areas of litigation
10. May serve as a point of contact for clients and may interpret data for clients and team
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in paralegal studies preferred
- Licenses and/or Certifications: Paralegal certificate or degree
- Experience: 5 or more years in legal industry or equivalent transferrable skills from industries such as insurance, government, regulatory/compliance administration; skilled in Microsoft Office; 5+ years as a Litigation Paralegal preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect
Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
Work Model: This role follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires a regular onsite presence of four (4) days per week in the Firm’s St. Louis office.
Travel Required: 8%
